British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP)

British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) is a popular immigration option for foreign workers and international students in Canada looking for immigration.

With the scores for Federal Immigration reaching as high as 475, a provincial nomination is becoming a more sought-after option for foreign workers and international students who are looking for permanent residency options. British Columbia Provincial Nomination Program is also a sought-after option for companies looking to hire foreign workers from outside Canada permanently.

October 29, 2019 draw for the BC PNP saw a slight decline in the scores, which was a welcome change for many registrants who are registered with BC PNP and waiting for the scores to decline so that they are invited to apply for Nomination. A total of 437 invitations were issued.

One of the most popular categories for people working in the skill levels C & D is Entry Level, and Semi-Skilled category, applicants with a score of 77, were invited to apply for permanent residency under this category. This is the only option for foreign workers who are working under semi-skilled positions such as Hotel Front Desk Clerks, Tour and travel guides, Outdoor Sports and Recreational Guides, Food and Beverage Servers, Food Counter Attendants, Kitchen helpers, Light Duty Cleaners etc. Since this is the only option for people in the semi-skilled category in British Columbia, it is a very popular category.

The following table shows the minimum scores that were required to get the invitation and the number of invitations issued by BCPNP:
