Canada's Immigration Plan for 2022-2024
Even with the pandemic, there were around 405,000 people who became permanent residents in Canada in 2021, but Canada aims to welcome a higher number of immigrants every year, starting in 2022 to 2024. In 2022, they aim to welcome around 431,645 permanent residents. Meanwhile, in 2023, they aim to welcome another 447,055 immigrants, whereas in 2024 they anticipate an additional 451,000. This is the highest number of target immigrants in the history of Canadian immigration.
BC PNP General Draw
One of the two BC PNP draws released on May 31, 2022 is BC PNP Draw in general. British Columbia issued 147 invitations for general draw including tech occupations under the categories Skilled Worker, Skilled Worker - EEBC, International Graduate, International Graduate - EEBC, and Entry Level and Semi-skilled . The minimum score varies depending on the category.

To support the care economy of British Columbia, the province issued 15 invitations for early childhood educators under the categories Skilled Worker and International Graduate, including EEBC option. The minimum score is 60.

To further support the province’s care economy, British Columbia decided to also prioritize health care assistants. British Columbia issued <5 invitations for other eligible occupations under the categories Entry Level and Semi-Skilled. The minimum score is 60.

You can log into your BC PNP Online Profile to check if you received an Invitation to Apply (ITA). Your next step is to prepare your BC PNP application within 30 calendar days from the date of invitation via the BC PNP online system. If you do not submit a complete application within 30 days, your invitation will be cancelled. You will be required to submit BC PNP fees as well.
