This is a special category only available to the participating regional communities. The program is designed for entrepreneurs who want to open a new business. This category requires lower investment and net worth thresholds from the base category. However, to participate and apply under this category an exploratory visit and community referral are mandatory requirements.
The Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot has been specially created to support regional communities. It is to attract entrepreneurs with a desire to start businesses, create jobs and settle in regional centres. Entrepreneurs are expected to contribute to their local economy.

You are an ideal Applicant for this program if you meet the following criteria:
You are an Experienced Entrepreneur.
You are an investor who is ready for the investment.
You are confident about your business skills.
You are adaptable and will be able to live in small regional communities in British Columbia.
Most importantly - you have a genuine intent to live in the community and manage the business on your own.
Other criteria for the Regional Pilot Entrepreneur category that you need to fulfill include:
You need to have a personal net worth of a minimum of $300,000.
You need to make a Minimum Eligible Investment of $100,000.
Your business must create at least 1 Job.
You must have a minimum ownership of 51% in the business that you propose to start.
You are able to prove your language proficiency and must achieve a minimum of CLB
