On June 21, 2022, three months after the changes to BC PNP, British Columbia issued around 125 invitations in a targeted draw for tech, childcare, and healthcare workers.
There were sudden changes to BC PNP on March 10, 2022 to cater to the crucial needs of British Columbia’s care economy. These changes are effective immediately. The details for the targeted occupations in this draw have been included below.

Canada's Immigration Plan for 2022-2024
Even with the pandemic, there were around 405,000 people who became permanent residents in Canada in 2021, but Canada aims to welcome a higher number of immigrants every year, starting in 2022 to 2024. In 2022, they aim to welcome around 431,645 permanent residents. Meanwhile, in 2023, they aim to welcome another 447,055 immigrants, whereas in 2024 they anticipate an additional 451,000. This is the highest number of target immigrants in the history of Canadian immigration.

You can log into your BC PNP Online Profile to check if you received an Invitation to Apply (ITA). Your next step is to prepare your BC PNP application within 30 calendar days from the date of invitation via the BC PNP online system. If you do not submit a complete application within 30 days, your invitation will be canceled. You will be required to submit BC PNP fees as well.
