CHILD/DEPENDENT SPONSORSHIP PATHWAY.
Child/Dependent sponsorship allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their children or stepchildren under the age of 22 to immigrate and live with them in Canada.
Once an application for child/dependent sponsorship is approved, the sponsored child or dependent will receive permanent resident status in Canada. They will have the same rights and privileges as other permanent residents, including access to healthcare and education.

By utilizing the Child/Dependent Sponsorship program to sponsor your children or dependents, they will be instantly granted permanent resident status.
They can live, work, or study anywhere in Canada, and they receive most social benefits that Canadian citizens receive, including health care coverage. They are also protected under Canadian law and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
By utilizing the Child/Dependent Sponsorship program, your child or dependent has the opportunity to pursue Canadian citizenship. This is contingent upon the successful approval of the sponsorship application and the fulfillment of eligibility requirements as outlined by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
An accompanying dependent child of the principal applicant can apply for an open work permit.

Definition of a Dependent Child
A dependent child is defined as someone who is under 22 years of age and not married or in a common-law relationship.
However, children who have reached the age limit or are older can still qualify if they have been financially dependent on their parents before reaching the age limit and are unable to support themselves due to a mental or physical condition.

Minimum Necessary Income
In most cases, you don't need to fulfill any income criteria to sponsor your dependent child.
However, you must demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to meet the income requirements in the following scenarios:

If you're sponsoring a spouse or partner who has a dependent child, and this child also has one or more children.

Sponsoring your Child/Dependent in Quebec
In order to sponsor your dependent child in Quebec, you must meet certain requirements and provide the necessary documentation.
These requirements include:

Being a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Quebec
